Ernst Spaan participates in a group of artists around "Remastered Art", an initiative of Swop ART (www.swopart.com/remastered-art). Remastered ART is a new art form in which old orphaned artworks are transformed into new sustainable works of art. Ernst has transformed the three black-and-white portraits of unknown persons below into expressive lenticular prints. He gave them a new fictitious identity and brought them back into the present, as it were.
